In the work "Born Happy", Lars Worm takes/derives his starting point in caricatured faces that we know from cartoons, emojis etc. and creates each piece in materials that are more associated with nature, agriculture and old fashion crafts. Most of the faces are smiling and laughing, but it is a stiffened and assumed smile, and thus it changes from being funny and sweet to being uncanny and something indefinable emerges.
